Litigation Services Manager
Vanessa A. Lozzi is the Litigation Services Manager at Evidence Express. In this capacity she is responsible for: understanding, supporting and training on various litigation software applications including Summation and Sanction; supporting the technological aspects of trial/arbitration; project management/consultation for document intensive cases (including e-discovery); and being the master of knowing the best and most cost effective products available to support the entire litigation team. In this role she is also responsible for setting up remote trials by knowing and arranging for the technology necessary in the war room and courtroom by working with local vendors and/or utilizing the law firm’s in-house capabilities. Ms. Lozzi is a graduate of Adrian College with a B.A. in Criminal Justice, and has also earned her Paralegal Certificate. She holds memberships with the following professional associations: the Association of Litigation Support Professionals and is the current Michigan Chapter president, the Paralegal Section of the State Bar of Michigan and the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association and also the former Paralegal Section Chair. Additionally, she serves on the Baker College Advisory Board, which is working to gain American Bar Association accreditation of their Paralegal Program. Ms. Lozzi is a Summation Certified Trainer. Previously, Ms. Lozzi worked for Butzel Long as the firm’s Litigation Technology Specialist. In this capacity, the “LTS” was responsible for coordinating, participating and/or overseeing a variety of technological areas. Her job duties included software support and troubleshooting, e-discovery consultation, vendor management, trial/arbitration support and communication between technical and non-technical audiences. Prior to the LTS position, Ms. Lozzi worked as a paralegal in the Bloomfield Hills office and specialized in the following practice areas: Litigation, Appellate Litigation, Class Action Litigation and Securities. Prior work history includes working as a paralegal at Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone where her duties focused on the practice area of Labor and Employment Law (both traditional and litigation). Ms. Lozzi’s paralegal career began at Barris, Sott, Denn and Driker where she was hired by managing partner Sharon Woods and worked in the practice area of general civil litigation. Ms. Lozzi is a contributing lecturer for the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association, local colleges, and other organizations to spread her knowledge of litigation services to paralegals and paralegal students.
